Cookie Policy
Version 1.0 • Effective May 21, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how Traceage uses cookies and similar technologies to recognise you when you visit our website and use the Traceage Cloud platform, and the choices you have. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.
What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work, to improve efficiency, and to provide reporting information. Similar technologies — such as local storage and pixels — serve comparable purposes; we refer to all of them as “cookies” here.
Categories of Cookies We Use
- Strictly necessary — required for the Service to function, including authentication, session management, and security. These cannot be switched off.
- Preferences — remember choices you make, such as your light or dark theme, so the interface behaves the way you expect.
- Analytics — help us understand how the website and platform are used so we can improve them. Analytics cookies are only set where permitted.
We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Cookies in Use
| Cookie | Purpose | Category | Retention | Party |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Session token | Keeps you signed in to the platform | Strictly necessary | Session / up to 30 days | First party |
| CSRF token | Protects against cross-site request forgery | Strictly necessary | Session | First party |
| Theme preference | Stores your light/dark theme choice | Preferences | Up to 12 months | First party |
| Analytics identifier | Aggregated usage measurement (set only where permitted) | Analytics | Up to 14 months | First party |
Managing Cookies
Most browsers let you view, manage, and delete cookies through their settings, and block cookies from being set. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent parts of the Service from working. A granular in-product consent banner is planned and will let you accept or reject non-essential categories individually; until then, browser controls are the way to manage analytics and preference cookies.
