Starter is paid at $99 / month standard. There is also an eligibility-based track that provides a free Starter seat for qualifying non-profits and small businesses in funded regions - approval typically within 5 business days.

A seat is one internal user login — your employees (ops, QA, supervisors, admins). Each tier includes a bundle: Starter 5, Growth 25, Premium 100, Enterprise unlimited. Additional internal seats are $9 / seat / month, prorated. External users — suppliers, auditors, regulators, and consumers scanning DPPs — are always free across every tier.

Yes. Suppliers submitting evidence, auditors reviewing your audit trail, regulators accessing submission packets, and consumers scanning DPPs are always free across every tier — no caps, no per-user charges. The supplier-record cap (25 / 500 / Unlimited / Unlimited) is a separate limit on how many suppliers you can profile in your directory, not on portal users.

Core capabilities are the features marked with ✔ across all four tiers in Compare Plans — the platform spine that ships at full functionality on every paying tier. They include most of the Traceability suite plus the foundations of HACCP, Compliance, DPP, and the supporting tools (Supplier, Analytics, IoT, Surveillance, Branding). Advanced features unlock at higher tiers.

Yes. Every paying tier — including grant-funded Starter — receives every core capability at full functionality (see above for what "core" means). What changes between tiers is volume limits and access to advanced features beyond the core set. Add-ons let you cherry-pick advanced features at any tier.

Yes - self-serve checkout supports upgrade and downgrade at any time. Add-ons can be added or removed at any time and are prorated.

Starter / Growth / Premium subscribers who join immediately after the private beta closes get a one-time 12-month discount (Starter $49, Growth $199, Premium $499). It is mutually exclusive with the standard annual discount (10% Starter / 20% Growth / 30% Premium) — customers take the better deal.

No. The price shown on each self-serve plan is the price you pay — there is never a surcharge at checkout. Traceage absorbs all payment-processing fees charged by our providers: Stripe for card payments worldwide (2.9% + $0.30 per charge, +1.5% for international cards, +1% where currency conversion is required) and Paystack for cards and mobile money across Africa (Nigeria 1.5% + ₦100, Ghana 1.95%, South Africa 2.9% + R1.00, Kenya 2.9% / M-PESA 1.5%, Côte d'Ivoire 3.2% / mobile money 1.95%). Enterprise plans are invoiced directly by bank transfer.

Starter includes email and community support. Growth adds chat. Premium adds chat and call support. Enterprise includes a dedicated customer success manager, 24/7 channels, and custom SLA terms.

Traceage is in a private beta. All plans are free for participants during this window so we can validate workflows alongside early customers and finalise feature scope. Request access by filling the waitlist form on the homepage — we onboard cohorts roughly every three weeks.

A chain-of-custody event is any state change captured in the traceability event spine — e.g. a batch is produced, packed, dispatched, received, transformed, or inspected. We follow GS1 EPCIS 2.0 (CBV) verb semantics: each event records the what, when, where, why and how at full GS1 fidelity.

Region-pinned data residency is available as a premium add-on for regulated multinational and government-sector deployments — see the pricing page for inclusions and pricing. Every record is anchored on Polygon for tamper-evident integrity (built-in across all tiers). SOC 2 Type II is on the roadmap; ISO 27001 alignment is in flight.

Per-unit overage on tier-card dimensions (product variants, events, suppliers, API calls) is shown inline on each tier card and scales linearly. Separate volume add-ons (Internal seats at $9/seat/mo, storage at $1.50/GB/mo, IoT devices at $1.20/device/mo, sites at $19/site/mo) are uniformly priced and stack on any tier. DPP issuance and consumer DPP scans are unlimited on every paid tier — no caps, no per-issuance fees. Multi-tenant / group discounts for organisations operating multiple legal entities are handled by Enterprise — talk to sales for a single billing relationship.
