Generate an API key

API keys let external systems read and write traceability data programmatically. Keys are scoped to your workspace and carry only the permissions you grant.

Create a key

From the workspace settings, open the API section and create a key. Give it a descriptive name so you can recognise its purpose later, and copy the secret immediately - it is shown only once.

Rotate and revoke

Rotate keys on a regular schedule and revoke any key that may have been exposed. Revocation takes effect immediately; issue a replacement before retiring the old key to avoid an integration gap.
