Record your first traceability event
Updated May 1, 2026
Every unit you track - a batch, a serial-numbered item, a reusable asset - carries a chain of events. The first event in that chain is usually an origin or receipt event.
Create the event
From the dashboard, choose the kind of thing you are tracking and record an origin event with a timestamp and location. Traceage stamps it onto a shared record, so the same record powers recalls, audits, and warranty traces later.
Confirm it landed
Open the unit and check the event timeline. Your origin event should appear with its timestamp and location. From here, each subsequent movement or transformation adds to the same timeline.
